After the typesetter has added your corrections and completed the issue,
the electronic file is sent to the printer. The printed issues are sent to
subscribers from the designated warehouse.

The typesetter also sends the electronic file to the Electronic Warehouse (EW).
From there your article is made available in electronic format, for instance in
ScienceDirect®.  Because of this, the electronic version of your article is usually available before the printed version.
