Annual Horowitz Prize Awarded
The Editors and Publisher are pleased to announce that Ken Hyland has been awarded the annual Horowitz Prize for the best article published in English for Specific Purposes in 2008 for his article entitled: "As can be seen: Lexical bundles and disciplinary variation" (27/1, pp 4 - 21). We are pleased to announce even faster publication speeds for the Journal of Phonetics. New Editor for the Journal of English for Academic Purposes
As of the 1st March 2009 we are pleased to announce that Dr Paul Thompson, of the University of Reading, will take on the role of Co-Editor for JEAP following the retirement from the journal of Ken Hyland after 7 years in the role. Paul is currently Secretary of the British Association for Applied Linguistics and has been a board member of JEAP for many years.
