Paul Krugman Wins the 2008 Economics Nobel Prize

 

Elsevier author and editor, Paul Krugman, awarded Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2008. 

Elsevier would like to congratulate Paul Krugman, Professor of Economics and International Affairs at Princeton University, USA, on being awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2008 ‘for his analysis of trade patterns and location of economic activity’. 

Besides publishing much of his own work with Elsevier including contributing chapters to the External linkHandbook of Industrial Organization, Vol. 2 and the External linkHandbook of International Economics, Vol. 3, Paul Krugman is on the Editorial Board for the External linkJapan and the World Economy journal.


Impact Factor and Citation Index Acceptance

Elsevier is pleased to announce the following journals have been accepted for coverage in Current Contents/Social Behavioural Sciences and in the Social Sciences Citation Index.

Broadening Participation at ASSA 2009

Dr Ruan, from China Academy of Rural Development at Zhejiang University, was awarded Promising Young Economist from a Developing Nation at Allied Social Science Association on January 3-5, 2009 in San Francisco. The 2009 award was sponsored by Elsevier's China Economic Review.

Dr. Ruan received fully expensed travel to the ASSA annual meeting and was officially recognised at the Elsevier reception.
